Oxford Wins University Award

For the fourth year in a row, Oxford University shows its strong capacity for external communication

Vienna. February 20, 2015. Oxford University succeeds like any other university by attracting media attention for their research, the work of its scientists, and their curriculum. During the year-long analysis period it has built a positive media image and is associated with a variety of subjects. Coverage of Oxford University is forward-looking and goal oriented, hence it being honored with this award. Behind Oxford, Harvard University is the placed second, and Imperial College London was in third place.

"Oxford University stands uniquely behind its research work," says Roland Schatz, Editor in Chief of Media Tenor International. "Oxford understands better than any other university how to achieve transparency and acceptance for the work of their professors and faculty."

For this analysis, all 836 reports on universities from a total of 145,462 reports in 24 international opinion leading media were evaluated by trained coder. The average inter-coder reliability was 88% in the 2nd quarter of 2014. The evaluation period was July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014.

For over 20 years Media Tenor's mission has been to contribute to objective, diverse and newsworthy news by bringing together the diverse parties who both impact and are affected by the news.
