Euro Stoxx 50 optimism, for now

Quoted financial analysts, Jan 1, 2015 – July 7, 2015

New York, July 10, 2015. Positivity on members of the Euro Stoxx 50 has increased so far this year, but analysts are cautious about the future in light of market upheaval triggered by the ongoing uncertainty over Greece.

“There’s clear optimism on a number of Euro Stoxx 50 companies right now,” says Racheline Maltese, a researcher at Media Tenor. “But there is a sense from some analysts that those opportunities may be short-lived. The tonality declines when only predictive statements are analyzed.”

Maltese also notes that the internationality of the Euro Stoxx companies has been in focus.  “Analysts aren’t just talking about what these companies are achieving in their home markets. Business activities in other nations and on other continents have been key. The strongest enthusiasm has related to business with China.”

This research examined all 27,888 analyst statements in eight opinion-leading business media January 1, 2015 – July 7, 2015.
