Analysts cautiously optimistic on telecom despite headwinds

New York, October 30, 2015. Despite economic headwinds impacting demand and pricing in some markets, some telecom firms are excelling in the eyes of quoted financial analysts, according to new research from Media Tenor International.

“New technologies and global opportunities are helping analysts stay positive on telecom firms despite economic risks and regulatory concerns,” says Racheline Maltese a researcher at Media Tenor International.

Media Tenor found that financial analysts were strongly focused on the future of the industry, but were not yet ready to issue a clear across-the-board guidance. “Tone on the industry is mixed, not just for today, but for the future as well. Some individual names are receiving praise – and buy ratings – but analysts have stopped short of encouraging investors to get into the sector as a whole."
