Clinton in hot seat as media focus turns to terrorism

U.S. TV & print news, November 14 - 22, 2015

New York, November 24, 2015. Hillary Clinton maintained her visibility lead in the media after the November 14th Democratic debate. But negativity on television remained high as questions were raised about her skill at addressing terrorism and foreign policy, according to new research from Media Tenor International.

“Media coverage of the Paris attacks and the response to them is likely to have an ongoing impact on Democratic and Republican candidates alike,” says Racheline Maltese, a researcher at Media Tenor. “While Clinton has experience as Secretary of State to address these issues, this also helps to focus opponents looking to criticize her and put a dent in her poll and media numbers.”

Media Tenor also found that Mike O’Malley is now barely visible, with little coverage of issues and limited momentum.

This research examined all 737 reports on political figures on three U.S. TV news programs and in eight print publications from November 14 - 22, 2015.
