Euro Stoxx 50 face growing risk

Quoted financial analysts, January 1, 2015 – November 25, 2015

New York, November 27, 2015. Fewer financial analysts are seeing positives amongst the Euro Stoxx 50, despite enthusiasm for Allianz, Siemens, and BNP Paribas, according to new research from Media Tenor International.

“Intense media and analyst focus on Volkswagen has had a significant impact on overall sentiment towards the Euro Stoxx 50, but negativity is spread across a range of highly visible stocks,” says Racheline Maltese, a researcher at Media Tenor. “While there are some stocks with positive analyst sentiment, the outlook is negative overall and not framed as attractive to new investors.”

Sentiment for Euro Stoxx 50 companies operating in other markets showed positivity in India, China, and Asia-Pacific. But tone in the U.S. was sharply negative as focus on the emissions scandal spread.

This research examined all 49,694 analyst statements in eight opinion-leading business media January 1, 2015 – November 25, 2015
