Analysts look towards pharma for 2016

Quoted financial analysts, January 1, 2015 – December 15, 2015

New York, December 18, 2015. Heading into 2016, quoted financial analysts are offering positive sentiment about the global pharmaceutical industry, according to new research from Media Tenor International.

“While banks and IT companies were the main focus of quoted analyst comments in 2015, heading into 2016, there is clear enthusiasm for the pharmaceutical industry,” says Racheline Maltese, a researcher at Media Tenor. “While tonality is at times volatile due to the results of drug testing, patent disputes, and varied regulatory hurdles around the world, sentiment is positive with analysts suggesting that the pharmaceutical industry represents a potential entrance for investors into a range of international stock markets.”

Of the ten most visible countries for pharmaceutical industry activity, only the U.K. and Vietnam have generated negative sentiment this year.

This research examined all 53,529 analyst statements in eight opinion-leading business media January 1, 2015 – December 15, 2015
